Engagement Mini Album

I made a mini album for Jenn and Toby of their engagement. I used BoBunny's "Love" chipboard album...

The "L"

The "O"

Back side of "O". Inside the pocket is the note Toby gave to the stewardess stating that he wanted to propose to Jenn in flight.

Another little pocket with their airline tickets. I thought the little clouds were so fitting :)
One of the times I had to convert video to photographs. The stewardess filmed the whole proposal on Toby's iPhone which was very cool to watch.

The "V"
Back side of "V" with their newspaper engagement announcement (Patty got them laminated) tucked in a pocket.

A little whimsical acrylic page

Back side of acrylic page
Toby, Paul, me, Patty, Don and Jenn. At "Wood N Wine" starting to plan. The waitress took video by mistake so this is the best I could do turning it into a still picture.

Jenn meets with the owner of Botzum Farmstead.

Jenn's bridal shower invite.

How cute are these little burlap flowers? So perfect with the country wedding theme!

I had both Jenn and Toby fill out little tags with 5 things they love about each other.

The "E"

Back side of E. This is a pocket that holds their wedding invitation and the invitation to the rehearsal dinner that was at Don and Patty's.

It's about time....

I started my 2013 Project Life. It has been a whirlwind 6 months with moving in January, my brother passing away in March and Jenn getting married in May.

So, yesterday I decided to get cracking (as my mom would say) on it. I did finish January and I'm ok with how it turned out.

I've also decided to read a book. It's been sooooo long since I've read anything. I was going to read "Beautiful Disaster". Not sure why I even picked this book up at Target but I was looking for a light summer read. After reading reviews (why didn't I do that first?) I changed my mind. Then I found some books downstairs in a box and thought I'd read "Lovely Bones". I must have picked it up at a garage sale or something, but that's not what I'm looking for either. I guess I have such a hard time choosing because I'm a slow reader and don't want to waste a second on something I'm not going to enjoy. So...I'm going to read "Something Borrowed" which I also found downstairs. It seems light and very popular.

As always...

Movin' on...

Yep. It's time to move on from wedding mode. It's been 2 weeks since the wedding and things are finally calming down and getting back to normal.
Last night we had Logan and Emmy spend the night. It was good to spend some time with those two. We were in the kitchen and Emmy spotted a Morning Dove on the patio and Logan asks "why do Morning Doves come out in the evening"? I thought that was a good question.
Paul got his shed and spent a lot of time yesterday cleaning the garage with Jenn's help and they discovered the pogo stick and stilts. I could never do either one but Paul could..

Emmy said "c'mon grandpa, don't be afraid". I was cracking up!
Emmy gets a turn!
We then walked to the Avon Dairy Treat for some ice cream. A convertible drove by the ice cream shop and Emmy pointed and said "that car doesn't have a lid". The funny things these kids say. I wish I was scrapping when my kids were little, I would have loved to document all the little things they said.

There's a big difference living in Avon vs Avon Lake and that is this city isn't nearly as people friendly. No bike paths on the main roads and the sidewalks are pretty much partial with huge gaps for some reason (if there are sidewalks).  We can run in our development (I have to run on the sidewalk) but can't venture out of it. I don't know if I'll get much bike riding done this summer. I see why Eric and Jess want to stay in Avon Lake. Don't get me wrong. I really like Avon with the easy access to shopping and the highways but my kids are all grown up so it works for us.

I'm not sure if I posted this already but Logan crossed over to Wolf Cubs last month. I'm so proud of him!

He earned the fish hook on his hat by catching the largest fish!
I got a new license plate. The old one had "SCRAPR" and not everyone (not very many people for that matter) know what a scrapper is. So I'm really pleased with my new one...

So, I'm off. I hope you enjoy your Sunday!
