Miss Elliott and Project Life

So little Miss Elliott is now 9 days old. We stayed until they came home on Wednesday and I miss her so much already! But! I'm going out to spend some time with them on Sunday.

I wanted to do a Project Life page of Ellie and the day she was born, but I was trying to figure out how to incorporate it into an old 8.5" x 11" scrapbook I had made for Jennifer. Years ago I had made a scrapbook for each of the kids which were about 5-6 pages in 3 ring binders. All my PL pages and albums are 12" x 12". So, when I took the few pages I had made from her old album, and tried them in the new album, I was so surprised and pleased as punch that they fit.

So here's the completed 2 page spread. I'll also add a couple of recent pictures of Elliott.

Here she is in her going home from the hospital outfit on May 1st. We forgot to take pics before she was put in the carseat. Oh well, I'm sure she'll be in this outfit again.

Willow fell in love with Elliott too! Here she is keeping a watchful eye over her. πŸ’“

1 week old. How precious she is!
So, that's it for now. As always...

Meet Elliott June Emptage!

Well it happened!

My baby girl Jennifer had a baby girl! We are beyond excited!! So to copy a phrase from my son in law.. Jenn was an absolute rockstar throughout the entire delivery. I can attest to that and I truly believe it was because she was at the gym, right up until 2 days before delivery!

Welcome Ellie June Emptage πŸ’“

She's 19" long.
She was so alert from the very beginning!

I am soooo in LOVE!

Isn't she gorgeous?!?!
The hospital gives each new baby a monogrammed blanket!
I must say the hospital and staff were amazing! Jennifer had a suite, where she was in labor and delivered all in the same room. Unlike when I had my babies and had to go to the delivery room and then back to my regular room, which by the way I shared with someone else. Every thing is so different now. I look back though and thanked my lucky stars I wasn't giving birth back in the day when MY mom did LOL!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
