It's the little and BIG things!

I started jogging with Chris and we're on the 3rd week of the C25K program. This morning as we headed out it was BRISK to say the least at a cool 31 degrees. The sun was shining and all the frost on the lawns were so pretty to see. I told Chris (Toby) that running outside means you get to see all the little things close-up and they all change over the course of the year. From the daffodils, the Canadian geese babies, the bright orange and red hues of leaf colors in the fall and even the little tiny drops of frost on the blades of grass. That's why I had to go out to the front yard this morning and get down on the ground and snap a shot before it all melted in the sun.

And..it's the BIG things in life too that matter. Like my new home! I haven't posted pics on my blog yet because I wanted it to be a surprise when Wendy came home. Well, she's been home since last month so I think I should take the time to show it off.
Not all the pics are from me, (still setting up and unpacking boxes) some are going to be stock photos from the real estate agent but I will note those that are. So....

This is a stock photo but it looks pretty much like this right now except the bushes.
This is the front hall and staircase taken from the great room in the back of the house.
My amazing kitchen! I pinch myself everyday!

Our gorgeous master bath! (stock photo). Yes, that is a walk in closet back there :)

We have a beautiful brick patio that we're excited to get some use out of this summer! (stock photo).

Funday!

With all the stress of moving, my brother passing away, wedding planning etc. I think it's time for some fun! There are lots of cool, fun things going on here at home and online and I'm always taking pics of anything random. Jenn seems to do the same thing (although I can't for the life of me get her to scrap). Recently, Mojo sits on Jenn's lap ALL THE TIME and never on Chris's. So, of course Jenn has to rub this fact in his face and has starting taking pics of her and Mojo and then she sends them to Chris in a text message-even while he's sitting in the same room!!
When I was in Mississippi, one day Jenn sent me a couple of these pics to cheer me up. Wow! Did they ever cheer me up! Not only that, I just LOL and I still do. I hope they bring a smile to your face as well....

And then there's the day this past week we spent decorating the Mason Jars (thanks Aunt Sue) for Jenn's wedding centerpieces...

How cute are these?? There will be 2 of these small ones filled with baby's breath on each table along with one large jar filled with flowers.

And yesterday we went to Melt Bar and Grilled for lunch. I had the Kindergarten grilled cheese and the cheese I picked was sharp cheddar and pepper jack.
I did want to do some serious dipping in A1 Sauce but of course they had never heard of such a thing and therefore did not have any :(

While out shopping for some kitchen counter stools, Jenn decided this massage chair was calling her name..

And before our Friday was over, I painted Jenn's nails from a cute design I found on Pinterest

I'm not sure where I saw this but I pinned it because it was so freakin' cute!!

The caption read: Bird poop protection gear!
See, I do have some fun around here. Lots more to come soon.

A little bit of this and that...

Yesterday was Jennifer's bridal shower and it was so nice to see so many friends and family come out and celebrate her special day! Her maid of honor Val and her bridesmaids really did a fabulous job!

The bubble gum game! She really did good, got a lot of questions right-even more than wrong but she still landed up with a huge wad of gum in her mouth.

Yesterday morning Wendy was in the kitchen when I got up and she was telling me that when she took her dog Dora outside, there were these huge ducks on the roof of the house making a terrible racket.

It's funny how Canadian Geese pick one house out of hundreds to stand on.
I've been feeling guilty about all the weight I've been gaining and not running. This past week I actually "got out there" and ran. I downloaded the 4th week of the C25K program and I used that. Now I just need to keep at it. I know me and if I can run 2.5 miles 4 times a week, I'm happy.

As always.....
