Now that doesn't happen very often. Couple of years ago I took a class by Heidi Swapp. I can't believe the last time I had THIS MUCH FUN CREATING!
I struggled with it in the beginning because I thought the supplies I bought with the class included the chipboard album. I misunderstood.
Most of the supplies I used were Heidi Swapp, Ali Edwards, Tim Holtz and some Martha Stewart. Stash busting as well.
I'm going to post some process photos and photos of my whole album but if you'd rather watch a walk thru video of it, I'll put that here first. It's my very 1st video-so please be kind. Not sure I'll do anymore, but the reason for it was, the photos just don't do this little album justice. You have to visualize in the photos of the tags coming out and flip ups etc.
Here's the video followed by photos.
I'm excited to create..
So, when I purchased the class I also purchased the supplies. That included papers, embellishments and some stamps etc. It did not include the chipboard album. Now, Heidi used an Exacto knife to cut it out in the class but with these arthritic hands, that was not happening. I bought a deep blade and a heavy mat for my Cricut. It struggled, which was my fault since I never cut chipboard etc. and I wasn't sure of the settings. So, after trial and error and finally finding some cardboard that wasn't too heavy or too flimsy I managed to get most of it cut on my Cricut. I did have to do some hand cutting with scissors but I got it done!
What a mess.
I made the album in 2022 in hopes of filling it with photos of Ethan and Elliott but they were both sick when Halloween came. Paul and I took them Trick-Or-Treating at the zoo that week so maybe I'll use those photos.
I must have cut too deep on the sides of one of the gates. It was supposed to be scored. Well, it landed up coming apart so I went to the craft store and got some hinges. I LOVE IT! Could have been a disaster.
The little gate on the left I got at Scrapfest 2010!!
This is the center when you open the gates.

I love the little holographic face.

Moving on to another page, this one had me a bit stumped. There's a little tag that slides out of the left side but the butterfly attached to it gets smashed by the album. And the other side there's a cute black cat that slides part way out, but also gets a bit smashed in the album.
You'll notice the paper clip at the top. It's holding the frame in place until I put a photo in it.
The next 6 photos will be the front and back of the 3 tags inside this pocket above.

In my video I mention Heidi Swapp would be proud of me for this pocket below I made. Why? Because I don't think of myself as being that creative. I get a lot of my ideas off Pinterest and groups with scrapbookers. In fact, I've copied so many cool ideas from Ali Edwards, I could probably fill an album.
But this little pocket I created and designed by myself. I love it. I bought some paper spider webs and put Stickles on them and adhered the edges to my page. Added some spiders and VOILA!
So that's it. Finally! Now that I've made the video and got all the pics of my album, I'm going to move on to work on last years December Daily.
