Christopher Phillips, 60, of D'Iberville, MS, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 in D'Iberville.
Chris has been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and served during Vietnam. Chris was an avid boatsman, surfer and loved being on the water. He was passionate about music and was an incredibly talented musician. Chris was the ultimate Led Zeppelin fan. He had a long career in shipbuilding on the Gulf Coast, most recently with Signal International. Kind and generous in time and spirit, he was devoted to his family and friends. He will be remembered by all for his wit and sense of humor.
Chris is preceded in death by his mother, June MacDonald; his father, Ainslie Phillips; his sister, Kim Gallion; his nephew, Michael Gallion; and his beloved Yorkie, Dexter.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Phillips; his daughter, Marnie Phillips; his stepsons, Lincoln Hardison and Casey Lessard; his sisters, Valerie (Paul) Loescher and Wendy Landry; his step-father, Albert MacDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
