Our hardwood floors are done!!

Finally! Got the hardwood floors in the living room and finished. There was a bit of a delay since they didn't get the final coat of varnish to match the bedrooms and hallway, but it was just a 2 day wait.

Rearranged the room and I'm not sure about the trunk in the middle. Paul seems to like it so we'll see.

 So, I'm really happy with the way the floors turned out. A couple of years ago we decided to pull up the old carpeting in the bedrooms and hallway and noticed they all had the original hardwood under the carpet. We hired "Premier Wood Flooring" company back then to come and sand and finish those rooms and it looked beautiful. Well, we decided it was time to do something with the old carpet in the living room but there wasn't hardwood under that so we had PWF come and install new wood. It blended really well with the old wood.

A day of fun..

A much needed day of fun after the week we had in MS. Before mom passed away, Wendy and I had planned on going to the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her birthday. We were talking about what time we were going to leave that day when she got the phone call from the nursing home.

So, I can't fully describe the fun we had! One of the highlights was a video of all the inductees starting about 1986 or so. We sang, wanted to dance and cracked up at some really funny parts. It was a great day!!

June Beryl MacDonald, age 82, of Pass Christian, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ainslie Phillips, and a grandson, Michael Gallion.
Survivors include her husband, Albert "Mac" MacDonald, her children, Christopher (Debra) Phillips, Valerie (Paul) Loescher, Wendy Phillips Landry, and Kim Phillips Gallion, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30am Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, where friends may visit from 10:30 - 11:30. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Driving to the store the other day, I see these 2 in the grass off of Moore Road. That's one thing I love about living here -- the wildlife is wild!

Rain-Rain, go away, don't come back another day! Well, I'm heading out for a run and it's drizzling-which is okay. Change that!! It's now pouring. We're going with the kids to Thomas the Train in Peninsula today. I'm hoping the weather man was right and it only rains this morning and late today...not in between! The rain is starting to get depressing.
We were going to take our new camper out for the first time this weekend and because it has rained for so long, we cancelled. Rescheduled for the 23rd of June. I don't think I posted pictures of our new camper so here it is!!

Both ends have queen beds that fold out..with heated mattresses!

A radio/DVD player and cable hookup. We chose not to get a TV yet. I'm sure there will be rainy times with the grand-kids that we'll want to use that DVD player though.

It's about time...

I got some photos off my cameras. I still can't wait to be able to get some shots from outside instead of through the windows of the sun room. Been colder than anyone likes around here. In the 40's the last 2 days which with the constant rain it feels like Fall. The crisp air when I walk outside makes me expect to see pumpkins and corn husks adorning the front porches. Hopefully it will clear up by later in the week since we'll be taking the camper out for the first time.
