HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 Hi!!

It's still January so I figure it's still appropriate to say Happy New Year. 

Jenn & Dan's house is almost done! I think just a couple more weeks and they'll be moving in. It's gorgeous and I know they'll be happy there for a very long time. And us? We're thrilled they're going to be living so close and the other day when they went over to look at it, Ethan and Elliott were excited to look out their bedroom windows and be able to see MiMi & Papa's house! 💓

Christmas was..WONDERFUL! Eric, Logan, Emmy and Eric's girlfriend Angela came from Williamsburg on Tuesday and Steve & Laureen came on Wednesday which was when we celebrated. My favorite holiday and once again it was so wonderful to have all my kids home 💝

As the New Year came, I realized in the first week that I hadn't even purchased my album to document my 2024 Project Life in, so I made a run to Hobby Lobby (😝 not my favorite craft store). They're the only place in my area who carry the 12x12 3 ring albums. I do love it though.

I made my title page which I'm very happy with. 

So, as most years I'm going to try and stay caught up. I am journaling more so that will definitely help tell my stories. 

I have to show this cute card I got in an order from Paper Issues. Cassie always sends a little cute note or card. 

And, yesterday was Ethan's 3rd birthday. Since my blog is public I was asked by Jenn not to post pics of her kids (hence why their faces are smudged out above) so I can't share photos but HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!

Christmas Village

Hi,

Christmas, well, the whole month of December is going to be very different from years past since the kids are living with us. 

We bought a new dining room table and it's beautiful but huge and there really isn't a lot of room to put the long tables I usually use for the village in there. So this year I opted to use the bakers rack that sits in the dining room as the base. I'm not gonna lie, Paul and I both like it better for the village. I just have to find new homes for things that used to live on there during the holidays, like my Father Christmas ornaments. 

Here is the new setup for the village. There was only 1 item that didn't fit and that was the broken down car in the snow. Maybe I'll find a place for it next near. For now, this is done 😊

I may add more snow especially around the buildings and some trees NEXT YEAR. I'm also not sure I LOVE the Christmas wrapping paper for the background. I've been thinking maybe a white sheet with some light blue snow drifts painted on might be nice. We'll see next year, but like I said, today it is done. Now to finish up more decorating.

As you can see, I'm still playing catch up with last year but you know what? That's ok! Because I'm printing my photos and getting my stories told for my family and my future self. Doesn't matter if it's last year or 10 years ago.

May 2023 moments..

Well I managed to get all my photos from May and June uploaded to my computer, my EHD and Dropbox..yay! 

Here's some of our summer so far..

For my birthday this year Bev took me to see the play Tina. I decided to stay overnight since we also had May's Bunco. At the time Bev was staying at Sue's house on the lake and taking care of her dog while she was out of town. She graciously allowed me to stay there too.

We met Lisa for lunch at The Tree House 

Ok, not gonna lie. This was my first Mimosa..never again. Not a fan! LOL 

The play was downtown Cleveland at Playhouse Square. Such an awesome place. 

It was an awesome performance! 

Oreo sure is giving Willow lots of exercise!!

We have a message group in the family called Wordle and 5 of us Wordle each morning and post our results. I did see someone else (I think on FB) also does this, but one person picks a starting word..that sounds fun! Anyway, Jenn got a 1!! 

Elliott helped me with the gnome garden..

 

The flowers in the garden are absolutely gorgeous! Paul does such a nice job in the yard. Our little oasis..
